Sub miniature push-on (snap-on) connector, operating in the range DC-40 GHz
50 ohms / part series R222 (AEP 75XX)
SMP was introduced in the 2000s for high frequency blind mate applications and is standardized according to MIL-STD-348A fig. 326. A cost effective version SMP-COM (part series R222 9) is also available for telecom applications up to 12 GHz.

Features:

  • Impedance : 50Ω
  • Frequency range : DC ~ 40 GHz (SMP-COM : DC ~ 12.4 GHz)

Durability :

  • Full detent : 100 mating cycles
  • Limited detent : 500 mating cycles
  • Smooth bore : 1 000 mating cycles
  • Power rating at 1 GHz : 100W
