Heat sink with “zipperfins” assembled on an Aluminum – Graphite composite base. (13 words)

These solutions are particularly interesting when the weight of the heat sink and, therefore, of the entire unit, plays a decisive role in the application (typically when there are moving parts, installation in hard-to-reach places, etc).

AG-Lite is a heat sink made by attaching a pure aluminum finned pack to a composite base obtained by combining aluminum molecules with graphite structures: the result is an alloy with mechanical features comparable to aluminum, lighter weight, and thermal conductivity quite close to copper!

The main advantages are:

  • option of reducing the weight of an existing copper solution up to 60%;
  • mechanical workability with tool machines, thanks to the aluminum that prevents the extreme fragility that pure graphite would have.
